With nearly 400,000 visitors each year, Bishop Museum serves as one of Hawaii’s top destinations, providing hands-on educational experiences to help residents and visitors appreciate and embrace Hawaii’s rich culture. In the new Science Adventure Center, you can control volcanic eruptions, pilot a deep sea rover, and see lava melt. At the core of the Center’s theme is Hawaii’s unique lands, surrounding oceans and skies which it highlights through highly interactive displays, creating a connection between the science and the wonders themselves. Bishop Museum also houses the Hawaii Sports Hall of Fame, native gardens, changing cultural exhibits featuring contemporary Native Hawaiian artists, and more. Directions:
TheBus: Take the Number 2 or City Express B “School Street/Middle Street” Bus to the corner of Kapalama and School. Walk a block south to Bernice Street and a half a block west to the entrance of the Bishop Museum.

By car: Take the H-1 West to the Houghtailing exit. Take a right onto Waikamilo Drive and turn left at the next traffic light onto Bernice Street. If taking the H-1 East from the Airport or West side of Oahu, you can take the Likelike Highway exit and take the next right onto Bernice Street.
