The Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center is a world-class, participatory learning environment designed to inspire the young and young-at-heart to new heights of learning and discovery. The Center provides an environment that encourages children to use their senses of touch, sight, hearing, and smell to gain a better understanding of the world around them. This exciting, educational facility is filled with hands-on, interactive exhibits for children and families to learn and grow together through play. Extend your visit to the Center with a purchase from “Just For You, Kid!”, the Center’s educational toy store located in the lobby. Nestled in Kakaako Park near downtown Honolulu, the Center consists of 38,000 square feet of high-tech, interactive exhibits divided into four major galleries: “Fantastic You!”, “Your Town”, “Hawaiian Rainbows”, and “Your Rainbow World”. This is a fun-filled and educational experience designed for family enjoyment.

Hours:
Tuesdays–Fridays, 9:00 am–1:00 pm
Saturday–Sundays, 10:00 am–3:00 pm
Closed: Mondays, 2 weeks from the day after Labor Day, New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. All holidays are subject to change without notice.

Directions:
The Bus: From Waikiki #19 or #20 to Airport, #55 to Kaneohe and #56/#57 to Kailua. Get off on Ala Moana Blvd. at Koula St. Cross the park toward the ocean. The Center is the building with the smokestack on the left.
By car: From Waikiki take Ala Wai Blvd. to Kalakaua Ave. Take a left onto Kapiolani, a left onto Ward Ave., right onto Ala Moana Blvd. A left onto Cooke Street goes directly into the parking lot.
