Hawaiian Ocean's Surf Lesson

Surf the famous waves of Waikiki Beach, once the playground of the legendary Duke Kahanamoku and Hawaiian royalty. When not surfing, the Duke and his friends would gather under a hau tree to entertain tourists. This was the beginning of the famous “Beach Boys of Waikiki.” Hawaiian Oceans’ modern day beach boys teach your surf lesson. All of the instructors are licensed by the State of Hawaii and have American Red Cross CPR, first aid and Lifesaving Certifications.
Lessons are customized for first timers of all ages to the more advanced surfer, and are at least one hour in length. Lessons begin on the white sands of Waikiki under the Hau tree at the surf stand, Hawaiian Ocean’s Waikiki, where basics on paddling, turning, and positioning oneself on the surfboard are taught. Safety instructions and etiquette on the water are explained to all. The remainder of the time is spent on the water with an instructor giving personalized and individualized instructions. They will get you standing on the surfboard and riding the famous waves of Waikiki.
