Iolani Palace

Included
Entry with the Go Oahu Card
A designated national historic landmark and the only official state residence of royalty in the United States, Iolani Palace was home to the Hawaiian Kingdom’s last two monarchs–King Kalakaua, who built the Palace in 1882, and his sister and successor, Queen Liliuokalani. During the monarchy period, Iolani Palace was the center of social and political activity in the Kingdom of Hawaii.
Through the efforts of many concerned individuals, this building has been restored to its original nineteenth-century grandeur. Visitors to Iolani Palace will enjoy viewing one of the most beautiful and historic buildings in downtown Honolulu and learn much about Hawaiian history and the royal family of Hawaii.
Note: Ticket Office is located at the Iolani Barracks located on the Palace grounds. Children under five allowed in the Palace basement galleries only. Parking available on King and Richards Streets or park in metered stalls on Palace Grounds. Entry from King Street; turn left onto Likelike Mall to enter. Reservations recommended.
