The Pacific Aviation Museum occupies WWII Hangars in Pearl Harbor that still bear the scars of our nation’s first aviation battlefield. The museum presesnts aircraft such as a 1942 Japanese Zero and its’ opponent, the Wildcat, in full diorama exhibits. See the Stearman 18 year old George H. W. Bush soloed in as the war’s youngest aviator. Find out how aviation turned the tide of World War II. A short movie in the Museum’s theater along with several video presentations help to bring the past alive on historic Ford Island. The Gift Shop features a wide variety of aviation-themed items, and the Pacific Island themed Café recreates an aviators club on a remote island. Guided Tours and Flight Simulators are available for an extra fee.

Directions:
TheBus: Take “The Bus” Express B from Kuhio Avenue in the Waikiki resort area and transfer to Express A at Punchbowl and Beretania Streets. Get off at the Arizona Memorial/Pearl Harbor Historic Sites stop
By car: From the Waikiki resort area take the H1 Freeway west and pass the airport. Take the exit labeled “Arizona Memorial/Stadium”. Stay in the left lane and exit where the sign says “Arizona Memorial and Pearl Harbor Historic Sites.”
Notes: Show your Go Oahu Card to the security guard to board the Ford Island Shuttle in front of the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum at the north end of the USS Arizona parking lot. After arriving at the Museum, present your card to the Ticket Counter.
