Since hula dancing originated in Hawai, it’s only fitting that Hawaii would be the site of the 16th Annual World Invitational Hula Festival. Scheduled for November 8, 9, and 10 at the Waikiki Shell, the festival celebrates Hawaiian culture, art, history, and, of course, dance. Participants from all over the world, including Japan, Mexico, Colombia, and the US, will come together in celebration of this beautiful art form, performing both ancient and modern forms of hula. On Sunday, November 4, the festival also features a Ho’olana Hula Workshop.

Tickets start at just $10 for lawn seats. Click here for more information. While visiting Waikiki, you might also check out the Waikiki Trolley, U.S. Army Museum of Hawaii, and the Grand Circle Island Tour.
