Travelers from Maine to Maui are buzzing about United Airlines’ new restrictions for checked luggage, which applies to domestic economy travelers who book after February 4, 2008 for travel after May 5, 2008. While you’ll still get to check one bag (up to 50 pounds) for free, checking a second bag will cost $25 each way and overweight bags will incur a $100 fee. Unfortunately, as CNN Money reports, several other major US airlines are likely to adopt similar policies to offset higher fuel costs. Get the facts from United’s website.

There’s the business traveler, the luxury traveler, the budget traveler, the traveling family, and more. To determine your travel type, take this quiz. I’m a cross between a budget travel babe and a globe-trotting girl. What’s your travel type? Leave a comment and let us know!
